You know that feeling when you\u2019re just driving\u2026 or riding the bus\u2026 or even just standing at a crosswalk waiting for the light?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And then you notice: a Tesla passes by.<\/strong>
Then a little later\u2026 another Tesla.<\/strong>
Then\u2026 wait\u2026 Tesla again?!<\/strong>
Korea lately feels like it has a free \u201cTesla parade\u201d every day<\/strong>. (Free for my eyes\u2026 but my anxiety? Premium subscription. \ud83d\ude2d)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1) Model Y in Korea: \u201cDiscount? Okay, we\u2019re multiplying.\u201d<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

So yeah\u2014over the past few months, you can really feel Tesla moving in Korea.
They\u2019ve lowered prices<\/strong>, especially on the Model 3 and Model Y<\/strong>, and that makes them feel a lot more \u201cokay, doable\u201d for more people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Result?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Before: \u201cOh! A Tesla!\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Now: \u201cOh! A Tesla!\u201d
    \u201cOh! Another Tesla!\u201d
    \u201cWait\u2026 is this on loop?!\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    And yes, there\u2019s also talk that some units are China-produced<\/strong>, which can make the pricing more competitive in certain market setups. Not automatically a \u201cproblem\u201d\u2014just interesting when we\u2019re talking pricing. \ud83d\ude0c<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    2) FSD (Supervised) in Korea: insanely impressive\u2026 but also very \u201chold on a second\u201d \ud83d\ude33<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    This is the ultra-future part.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Because in Korea, there have been reports that Tesla Full Self-Driving (Supervised) has been activated \/ introduced<\/strong> \u2014 emphasis on Supervised<\/em>, meaning it\u2019s not a \u201crobot car, good luck\u201d situation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • You\u2019re still responsible.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • You\u2019re still supervising.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • You\u2019re still the \u201cteacher,\u201d<\/strong> while Tesla is the \u201cstudent who learns fast.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      But\u2026 girl, once you watch the videos\u2026
      the car looks like it has its own brain\u2014
      lane changes, turns, flowing through traffic\u2026 and then it reaches the destination<\/strong> like it\u2019s totally normal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      It\u2019s mind-blowing.
      But let\u2019s be honest: it\u2019s also a little nerve-wracking.<\/strong>
      That feeling of \u201cThis is amazing!\u201d followed by \u201cWait\u2026 is this safe?!\u201d \ud83d\ude05<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      And on the US \/ North America side, FSD (Supervised) keeps evolving too\u2014
      even on the Cybertruck<\/strong>, it\u2019s included in official pages\/notes about FSD capability (still supervised).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      So my heart splits into two personalities every day:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      • Side A: \u201cOMG, this is the future.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Side B: \u201cOMG, this is the future\u2026 but could we lower the thrill level a bit, please.<\/strong>\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        3) And then the Philippines: \u201cAre we next?\u201d \u2014 I\u2019m excited to see how fast Tesla grows there<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

        This is where my Filipina Joana side kicks in.
        Because in the Philippines now, Tesla isn\u2019t just an \u201cinternet brand\u201d anymore\u2014
        there are prices, official listings, and an actual presence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        On Tesla PH\u2019s official site, the Model Y RWD is listed at \u20b12,369,000<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Of course, realistically, the Philippines still has a few big factors:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        • charging infrastructure (especially once you\u2019re outside major areas)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • condo\/parking rules<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • electricity costs, driving habits, daily practicality<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • and that classic \u201cmaybe hybrid first because it\u2019s more convenient\u201d logic<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

          But I\u2019m still excited because\u2026
          when Tesla combines price pressure + tech wow factor<\/strong>,
          the market can suddenly move faster than people expect.
          And Korea right now feels like a live example of that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          In Korea, Model Y price moves + the exploding number of Teslas on the road<\/strong> = Tesla is becoming normal<\/em>.
          And FSD (Supervised)<\/strong>? It\u2019s amazing, but there\u2019s still that \u201csis, hands on the wheel, okay?\u201d vibe.
          And in the Philippines\u2026 it feels like we\u2019re only on episode 1.<\/strong> The question is: how fast will Tesla become a \u201ccommon sight\u201d for us\u2014and how big could its market share get? \u20b12,369,000 might just be the start of the story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
