<p>Back in 2021, when I bought my Roborock S7, this was my cleaning mindset:</p>

<p>“Cleaning is… an adulting ritual.”<br>You pull out the vacuum, plug it in, the cord instantly chooses violence and hooks itself onto a chair—<br>then 15 minutes later your arm feels like you just did an upper-body day at the gym…<br>and suddenly, out of nowhere, this thought drops in:</p>

<p>“Wait… what am I even doing with my life?”</p>

<p>I thought that was normal. I thought it was required.<br>Like there was an actual law somewhere that says:<br>“Once you’re grown, you must fight dust forever.”<br>WHO wrote that? <img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/1f62d.png" alt="😭" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /></p>

<p>But when my S7 arrived… everything changed.</p>

<p>And yes—important detail:<br>I gave it a name.</p>

<p><strong>Shangrila</strong>.</p>

<p>Yes. For real. That’s what I still call it to this day.</p>

<p>“Shangrila, we’re working.”<br>“Shangrila, please sweep under the sofa.”<br>“Shangrila… I’m leaving this to you.”</p>

<p>(At this point, it’s not a “vacuum.” It’s a roommate. <img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/1f602.png" alt="😂" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" />)</p>

<hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity"/>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img decoding="async" width="693" height="1024" src="https://jltgadget.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/S7-Shangrila-693x1024.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-280" srcset="https://jltgadget.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/S7-Shangrila-693x1024.jpg 693w, https://jltgadget.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/S7-Shangrila-203x300.jpg 203w, https://jltgadget.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/S7-Shangrila-768x1135.jpg 768w, https://jltgadget.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/S7-Shangrila-1039x1536.jpg 1039w, https://jltgadget.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/S7-Shangrila.jpg 1179w" sizes="(max-width: 693px) 100vw, 693px" /></figure>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">At our house, cleaning is no longer “my job”—it’s Shangrila’s routine</h2>

<p>Every day, when the scheduled time hits, it’s like it clocks in.</p>

<p>“Okay ma’am, I’m on duty.”<br>Then it goes around the living room corners, under the bed, under the sofa—<br>cleaning like it’s on a mission.</p>

<p>And when it’s done?</p>

<p>It returns to its charging dock.<br>Automatically.<br>Like its life is crystal clear.<br>It has a home, a direction, a career.</p>

<p>Me?<br>Sometimes I don’t even know what to prioritize in life…<br>but Shangrila? Shangrila always knows the way home. <img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/1f605.png" alt="😅" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /></p>

<hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity"/>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What do I actually have to do? Just this, promise.</h2>

<p>Honestly, my role is so minimal now:</p>

<p>Every 3–4 days: I check the mop pad<br>(“Shangrila… are you still… moist?” <img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/1f62d.png" alt="😭" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" />)</p>

<p>Once a week: I clean the filter and dustbin<br>(“Good job this week. That dust harvest was INSANE.”)</p>

<p>So basically… I’m not the one cleaning anymore.<br>I’m just taking care of a robot that cleans for me.<br>Robot-mom era. <img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/1f602.png" alt="😂" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /></p>

<hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity"/>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">But the “latest” Roborock models now… the names sound like sci-fi movies</h2>

<p>Whenever I see the new models, I’m like:</p>

<p>“Wait… are you still a vacuum company?<br>Why are you acting like a robotics company?” <img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/1f928.png" alt="🤨" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /></p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/2705.png" alt="✅" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Roborock Saros 20 / Saros 20 Sonic</h3>

<p>At CES 2026, they pushed the idea that the robot is now more “capable” with thresholds and obstacles—<br>with AdaptiLift Chassis 3.0 vibes, so it’s more ready for door sills, little bumps, and all those annoying transitions.</p>

<p>And Saros 20 Sonic?<br>That one goes harder on VibraRise 5.0 (the sonic/vibrating mop energy),<br>so the scrubbing is more serious—less “wipe-wipe,” more “I’m actually doing something.” <img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/1f60c.png" alt="😌" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /></p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/2705.png" alt="✅" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Roborock Qrevo Curv 2 Flow</h3>

<p>This one is giving roller-mop era.<br>They’re even dropping specs like 220RPM and 15N pressure—<br>like they’re saying, “Ma’am, this is not mopping… this is floor therapy.” <img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/1f602.png" alt="😂" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /></p>

<p>And of course the dock keeps going ultimate mode:<br>wash, dry, auto-empty…<br>Basically the goal is: please stop stressing, we got you.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/2705.png" alt="✅" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Roborock Saros Z70 (with an OmniGrip<img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/2122.png" alt="™" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> arm!)</h3>

<p>And then… boom.<br>It has an arm.<br>A real mechanical arm.</p>

<p>This is the moment my brain went:</p>

<p>“Ah. Okay. So Shangrila’s child will pick up my socks now.”<br>(And honestly… that DOES look like the direction we’re heading.) <img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/1f62d.png" alt="😭" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /></p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/2705.png" alt="✅" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> (Demo vibes) Roborock Saros Rover — climbing stairs?!</h3>

<p>Apparently there was even a demo concept that looks like stair climbing.<br>Not sure if it’s mass-market yet, but the direction?</p>

<p>It’s scary… because it’s too convenient. <img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/1f605.png" alt="😅" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /></p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="966" height="535" src="https://jltgadget.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/스크린샷-2026-01-12-162042.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-278" srcset="https://jltgadget.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/스크린샷-2026-01-12-162042.jpg 966w, https://jltgadget.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/스크린샷-2026-01-12-162042-300x166.jpg 300w, https://jltgadget.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/스크린샷-2026-01-12-162042-768x425.jpg 768w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 966px) 100vw, 966px" /></figure>

<hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity"/>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The upgrade trend in one line: less work for you, more life for you</h2>

<p>From 2021 until now, this is how Roborock’s evolution feels:</p>

<p>Their goal is to remove your workload.</p>

<p>So the improvements usually look like this:</p>

<p>Less getting stuck on carpets/thresholds → more “mobile”<br>More legit mopping → vibrating/roller/pressure upgrades<br>A dock that’s no longer just a charger → it’s a full maintenance center</p>

<p>And as the current-gen “talk of the town,”<br>even the S8 MaxV Ultra gives that “complete package” automation energy.</p>

<hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity"/>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="640" height="480" src="https://jltgadget.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/5849309b028f22a2065cf438c6f27c82.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-274" srcset="https://jltgadget.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/5849309b028f22a2065cf438c6f27c82.jpg 640w, https://jltgadget.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/5849309b028f22a2065cf438c6f27c82-300x225.jpg 300w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px" /></figure>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Conclusion: Shangrila (my 2021 S7) is already family. The future? It might organize your life too.</h2>

<p>Because of Shangrila, cleaning stopped feeling like labor.<br>It became a background system of the home—automatic.</p>

<p>But if these robots really get legs and arms…</p>

<p>I can already see this scene happening soon:</p>

<p>Robot: “Cleaning is complete. Shall I start the laundry too?”<br>Me: “Yes… and please—could you also organize my life worries while you’re at it?” <img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/1f605.png" alt="😅" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /></p>
